More About 'Tis time

Synopsis

The mind can play tricks on us from time to time. What seems obvious might not be the case. Sometimes, people can be in a situation that they can’t avoid… Such inevitability is experienced by our protagonists. The only thing left to do is wait… Time will untangle this deceptive situation.

Idea inspiration

The main source of inspiration for this short film was from a Greek scout game, as well as from a Greek saying: “τα φαινόμενα απατούν”, which can be translated in English as “appearances are deceptive”. My interest for adorable and creepy things also played a huge impact for the film.

Purpose of film

The use of time is the major theme in this short film. Time makes the protagonists, which in this case is the actual audience, realize that everything isn’t what it appears to be, and that they shouldn’t come to a conclusion based on their own assumptions of the situation, even when all the clues are pointing to another direction. Its purpose is to see whether or not the audience will come to a conclusion based on the visual information they receive from the film or rather wait until the end and then come to a conclusion.
